- I recently found (!) my old Courier HST, and I see that it can be
- upgraded (well, trade-in really) to a V.FC via a upgrade/trade-in program
- available on the USR BBS.
-
- My question are:
-
- * has anyone done this? Especially with an HST (old, 14.4, round lights)
- (side comment: round lights, but the GOOD power supply, not the
- wall transformer one)
-
- * since V.FC is (pretty much) useless, can I software (flash ROM) upgrade
- to V.34 or V.Everything or whatever the current standard is?
-
- * Are the older courier V.FC modems different (other than ROM) from the
- newer V.34(+) and V.Everything modems?
-
- Note that if I did upgrade it, I am not concerned if HST capability remains
- (although, I would be interested to know if it did).
-
- Thanks!
